What driver's licence do I need?

You can drive most of our vehicles on a standard Class B drivers licence. However you will need a Class C1 or Class C licence for our larger trucks.

Standard car driver's licence (Class B)

• Small Van (e.g. Ford Connect)
• Med Van (e.g Ford Transit)
• Large Van (e.g. Mercedes Sprinter)
• Mini Mover (e.g. Transit Luton)

Class C1 / C driver's licence

• Midi Mover (e.g. DAF 7.5)  - Class C1
• Super Mover (e.g. DAF 18) - Class C

Can I transfer insurance from my private car?

Absolutely. It is possible to transfer your own ‘Comprehensive Cover’. Written confirmation of cover will be required before Hire can commence. Alternatively National Truck Rental can offer very competitive rates on insurance.

Do you provide any moving / packing accessories?

Our goal is to make your move as easy and as stress free as possible. We provide a number of accessories such as an automatic Tail Lift for the truck, Bubble wrap and tape and Hand trolleys to help move some of your heavier items.

Where are you located?

We are conveniently located in Stadium Business Park Ballycoolin, Dublin 11, close to the M50. We have plenty of parking space available for our customers and you can leave you car with us during the period of your van or truck rental.

Can I park my car at your facility?

Absolutely. Our custom built rental facility is conveniently located next to the M50 in Stadium Business park, Ballycoolin, Dublin 11. We provide plenty of parking space for our customers and you can park your car at our facility during the period of your rental.

What are your opening hours?

Our standard opening hours are 8:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8:30am - 12:30pm on Saturday. We are not open on Sundays or Public Holidays.

Are there age requirements for Renting?

You need to be at least 25 years old and hold a valid driving license for the truck or van you wish to hire.

Can I cancel my Reservation

You may cancel up to 48 hours in advance of your designated pick-up time without penalty. If you cancel within 48 hours of your pick-up time, we may impose a one day rental fee.

Can someone else drive the truck I have rented?

Yes, you may add additional drivers to your rental agreement when you pick up your rental. All additional drivers must present a valid driver's license, and be at least 25 years old. If the truck is driven by an unauthorised driver any cover provided will be void.
